Sage lived her young life chained to a flimsy dog house with very little interaction. During the winter arctic cold snap of December 2022 it was brought to our shelter directors attention that Sage had no straw in her dog house and the roof was off the house.
The owner was asked to take Sage in the house and he refused so charges were filed and law enforcement brought Sage to the shelter. Sage has learned to trust her caregivers and is eager to please.
She is a living, energetic 2 year old Pyrenees mix who is prone to the zoomies. She is dog selective as she did not encounter other dogs for the first year of her life chained to an inadequate dog house. She is unknown with cats. She weighs approximately 50 lbs and is fully vetted.
