Rescued from a backyard breeder, Maria spent over a year in rescue and is now completing a board-and-train program where she’s blossoming into a confident, well-behaved girl. She’s making incredible progress with structure and support, and she’s ready to find an experienced adopter who will continue guiding her into the next joyful chapter of her life.

Maria is leash and crate trained, rides in the car (though she’s a bit nervous), and lights up with playful energy in the yard. She currently lives with children ages 3 to 16 and loves being part of the family. She’d thrive either as an only dog or with a large-breed male companion and an experienced handler. While she’s not suited for a home with small animals, she is perfect for someone who values loyalty, intelligence, and a chance to transform a life.
