Honey is a 1–2 year old Shepherd mix who has already faced more than most dogs do in a lifetime. Since late January 2026, she was roaming the streets of Los Angeles, trying to survive after clearly nursing her puppies in earlier weeks. Caring neighbors tried to keep tabs on her, risking busy streets and coyote territory, until finally, with the help of a trapper friend, she was safely secured.

In just three days of foster care, Honey has blossomed from scared and shut down to sweet, affectionate, and playful. She wags her tail when approached, loves giving kisses, and shows a silly side that will melt your heart. She also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, greeting them happily and showing no reactivity.
