Redford is a 4-year-old red Shepherd mix who came into the shelter as an Animal Control pick up – he was out on the streets wandering alone.
According to staff, he does well on walks, gets excited over other dogs, but can be a bit shy at first. Rocky is captured by his beauty when he first passes by as Redford is just as his name suggests – all red! At first, just as staff said, Redford was a bit standoffish, but Rocky shows with just a little patience and time, a few weeks later, Redford was excited to see him.
Rocky is now waiting on results from his DNA test – with his body and head shape, it’s no doubt he’s mixed with German Shepherd, but now the question is whether another breed gave him the brilliant red coloring. Results soon!
In the meantime, Redford resides at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA waiting for his new forever home.
