UPDATE: Sonic has been ADOPTED by a volunteer at the shelter! His new name is Oso, and he is doing fantastic now in his new home, and for good this time.
Ranma, also nicknamed Sonic, is a 1 and 1/2 year old male Malamute who was found just around the corner from the shelter by a good samaritan, who happened to run into Animal Control at the same time. ACO instructed them to bring Ranma into the shelter, and when he first came into Animal Friends of the Valleys, he was so nervous, they couldn’t even check to see if he was a girl or boy with all that fur!
Ranma has worked with volunteer dog walkers and staff alike, who have helped bring him out of his shell. He is a sweet and gentle boy, and although he had holds on him for adoption, none so far have worked in his favor and he waits at the shelter for his forever home.
He was adopted out, then returned for being high maintenance, and still needs a forever home! He is incredibly sweet, cuddly, and does great on his walks.
