Rachel is a 4.5-year-old Border Collie Lab who likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food – as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime.
Rachel is fine with most other dogs – she is a little slow on picking up others dogs social cue’s so calm and tolerant dogs are best. She also loves to cuddle with her humans. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves.
Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning.
