UPDATE: PIERRE WAS ADOPTED
Pierre is the cutest and silliest little pittie mix! He is 36 pounds of happiness and pure joy! That’s amazing since he was found dumped in a shelter. He is 2 years old at the most, and is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a little lowrider and may be mixed with something like a Frenchie, or Boston because those ears are mighty special and adorable! His photos don’t do him justice, he is just so cute!
He is dog friendly and playful, walks nicely on a leash, and would love a home with a bit of energy to walk him and play with him. He is sociable and loves everyone he meets! He is a quick learner and will learn some more manners quickly with a little help. We don’t know his story from before, but what we do know is that I personally absolutely fell in love with him while at the shelter in Devore, CA and became determined to help him.
From the Rescuer: “I was there rescuing a mom and litter puppies that were set for euthanization that day, and couldn’t help Pierre right then. After they were settled in for a day or so, I checked in on Pierre and saw he was no longer there, and investigated what happened. I found out that he had been moved to San Berardino City Shelter, because he had actually been found in their jurisdiction.
So I looked for him there, and found him under the name of Gizmo. One of my good friends and mutual animal advocate and foster, agreed to foster him! And another friend and animal advocate agreed to go pick him up and transport him. But there were some obstacles to overcome….he needed to be neutered first and they couldn’t take him for a couple of days due to prior commitments. A fabulous vet agreed to neuter him that day, and another temp foster kept him for 2 nights, and then took him to his main foster. It truly took a village to help make it work for this boy, and it was so worth it!! He is the best boy! He loves his foster home and his foster sister Norma! He has a big bed to cuddle in and gets lots of play time, walks, and love. He will make someone a fabulous companion and family member! We have playful videos to share if needed.”
