Phoenix was found as a stray wandering aimlessly in a neighborhood in Conroe, TX. He was over the moon happy when two teenage boys leashed him up and took him to a volunteer’s home. The boys named him Phoenix, just like the immortal bird; this pup was prepared to rise again!

Phoenix was very underweight when he was first found, but that has been resolved with food! Easy-peasy – this boy was starving!

Phoenix is a well-adjusted young adult at 18 months. He is crate trained and house broken, he is good with other dogs and a meet and greet would have to take place with other pets in any new home. He has not met cats.

Phoenix is eager to please and would make an amazing family pet for an active family. Phoenix loves to go on walks and car rides, he is a good boy getting bathed, he absolutely loves to lay behind the gate and watch the world go by when outside.

The ideal home for Phoenix would have a safe and secure fenced in yard, an active owner to walk/run and play outdoors with. The same as any young dog, basic training is a wonderful plan to bond and learn together with a new pet; this would be the same for Phoenix. Phoenix is a fast learner and already knows the sit and recall commands. Leash walking is great with a harness.

A fenced yard is an adoption requirement for Phoenix.
