Nimbus is one of our special needs dogs, she is deaf and blind. She was born this way and doesn’t know anything else. We know this will be a huge undertaking, but there has to be someone out there that would be willing to try to give Nimbus a home, you honestly would be adopting one of the best dogs you could ever find.
She came to us because she was set to be euthanized in a high kill shelter. No one there wanted her because of her disabilities. We did though! She is so full of love and trust. Nimbus doesn’t know that she is special needs and if it doesn’t bother her, then it shouldn’t bother us!!!
Nimbus is about three years old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm/lymes negative, flea treated, and microchipped. She would need to go to a home with other sighted dogs. As you can see from the pictures on our page, she loves other dogs and thrives with them, she also loves people.
Nimbus is currently at a board and train facility to help socialize her and work with her on transitioning into a home. She is mostly housebroken and crate trained. We know you will fall in love with her, but please remember special needs dogs are absolutely not easy dogs. Nimbus will pose challenges with training and this isn’t for everyone. That’s how the best ones are though!
Any blind and/or deaf dogs require a physical fenced in yard. Nimbus also requires another dog in the residence, as blinds dogs do better with another dog. She will repay you with endless amounts of love! More information on Nimbus can be found on our website.
