Nilla is a beautiful Border Collie mix who had a very scary start before coming to the shelter; she was found wandering in the middle of a busy road and brought to the shelter for safety. She even sports a small scar on her nose – a little mystery from her past and a testament to her survivor spirit.
Because the world has been so overwhelming for her, Nilla is quite shy and timid right now. When she first arrived a couple of weeks ago, she was very frightened and unsure about being handled. She is still learning that she is safe and that humans can be kind. Border Collies are deeply devoted once they bond. The family that puts in the time to win Nilla’s heart will be rewarded with a fiercely loyal best friend.
Nilla is tired of being scared and is so ready to experience a soft bed and a loving family.
