Nala is an approximately 2 year-old, 33 pound Dachshund/Terrier mix. Sweet Nala was found in a field with 5 other dogs, including several who appeared to be her babies and she did an excellent job caring for them. Now is her chance to be appropriately spoiled!
Nala would make a great companion for someone looking for a low energy dog. She is a silly girl who wants to be your shadow – a serious Velcro dog. She loves to burrow into blankets and roll around on her back. Her favorite thing is to sit next to you…wherever you are! At night she sleeps well in her crate in her foster mom’s room so she can see her humans as she drifts off. She is shy when first meeting people, but warms up very quickly and wants to cuddle. She gets along with her 120 pound, 4-legged foster brother and 2 other dogs she’s met (as expected for a momma dog, she did correct a smaller dog).
While Nala is fine with other polite dogs, she would love to be your one and only. She is getting better on leash, but does not really like it just yet for walks. She has figured out that the leash means a car ride, which she likes!. Although shy at first, she warms up quickly and loves to meet people. She does ger a little overwhelmed if it is too many people at once. She has spent a long time taking care of her little family and deserves to be cherished for who she is. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
