It took nearly 3 weeks before a good samaritan was finally able to capture this 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix running around the streets and bring her to the shelter safely.

Because she looked so frightened, Rocky decides to sit with her to hopefully bring her out of her shell more. Nicknaming her Mia, he hopes this will give her the exposure she needs to get adopted into the right home.

Mia is timid and unsure – she may trust women more than she trusts men with the way she acts, but Rocky shows she can come to accept men. A meet and greet with Mia is highly recommended if you have a dog in your home prior to adoption. Mia will most likely take a while to decompress and adjust to life in a new home, as we don’t know where she came from or what she’s been through, but she will be well worth it!
