Melora is a 5-year-old female Terrier mix and was heartbreakingly discovered covered in fleas in a backyard. As a result, she developed a flea allergy that needed to be treated, and thanks to staff at San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, her skin is feeling better now. Although physically she is fine, emotionally Melora has been through quite a bit, and needs time to come around.
Melora’s name comes from the Greek word for ‘Golden apple,’ and we have to agree she’s special! According to SGVHS, she’s shy when first meeting people, but warms up to them once she’s gotten to know them. She is already spayed, and ready to go to her forever home where she will be treated with kindness and patience. We’re hoping she becomes the (golden) apple of someone’s eye out there!
