Tate is a gentle, 2-year-old Chihuahua/Spaniel mix who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in California along with his buddy, Tyler. He arrived in Seattle on March 16th, and while initially shy, Tate is slowly blossoming into a sweet and affectionate companion. His tail wags and soft eyes reveal a loving nature that just needs a little patience to fully shine through.
Now thriving in his foster home, Tate is fully house trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. While loud noises and unfamiliar people—especially men—can still spook him, he’s made significant strides on the leash and continues to grow more confident every day. Once you earn his trust, Tate is all belly rubs, kisses, and snuggles. He thrives with a calm, confident dog buddy and would do best in an adult-only home that can offer him patience, love, and continued support.
