Sterling is a Shepherd mix who came in as a stray on 3/27/2025. He is thought to be 4 years old and not yet neutered. He is listed as 76-100 lbs and although he’s a Big Boy, he’s likely closer to the lower end of that range. He has a handsome black coat with white markings in all the right places and bright brown eyes. Each of his black hairs have silver tips and so he was named “Sterling”!
The Dog Walkers are finding him to be super shy and scared right now. I’d guess he’s still trying to figure out where he is and why. Not only is the shelter environment overwhelming to him, so are the loud noises from the cars on the road. He walks well with a leash but we haven’t gotten too far with him yet. He prefers to hang out with his human and exchange lots of love and affection! He has such a gentle demeanor, it’s a pleasure to spend time with him! He has the happiest smile and I’d guess once in a HOME, he will show his amazing true colors!
