Meet Spencer – A Gentle Senior in Search of Love

Weight: 35 lbs (underweight; needs to gain to reach ideal weight)
Location: Available through Magnificent Mutts Rescue (foster-based, IL)

Spencer was originally adopted from Magnificent Mutts Rescue in 2011. Sadly, more than a decade later, he was found wandering the streets. When contacted, his former owners declined to take him back. Now, Spencer is safe with the rescue once again, and he’s searching for a family who will truly love and cherish him for the rest of his days.

Despite his age, Spencer is a happy and healthy boy. His recent vet exam and bloodwork came back great—he simply needs more calories to regain a healthy weight. This sweet senior is housetrained, loves people, and gets along well with other dogs. His calm, loving nature makes him a joy to have around.

🐾 A Glimpse into Spencer’s Personality

Spencer recently attended the Oswego “K9’s N Cops” event and had a blast! You can catch a video of him on the Magnificent Mutts Rescue Facebook page, where he’s seen playing with a pup, chasing a ball, and bonding with a young girl. Spencer is playful, kind, and full of love to give—he’s simply waiting for the right family to share it with.
