Luke is a heeler/bully blend that adores people, kids, other dogs, Netflix & chill, walks & car rides. He weighs 48 lbs, is approximately 1.5 years old, neutered, microchipped & house trained. Luke is predominantly deafblind but can hear loud noises and see light from one eye.
Luke came to us at 7 months old because his owners lost their home due to pandemic related issues & their lack of experience with dogs. When asked what type of dog food he ate they replied “We fed him a chili dog a few hours ago.”
The skinny, flea covered pup was brought to his foster home, cleaned and bathed. He’s been an amazing pup coming from such a rough start & we are confident that he will do well in almost any situation with a loving owner. He does not “startle” when woken or touched, and we recently found out he LOVES the kiddy pool. His foster home was cleaning a storage shed in the yard when a storm hit, the kiddy pool that was outside had rain water in it and a few hours later the splish splash of Luke being a land Seal, playing and flopping in it was heard.
Unfortunately Luke’s prime audience in his local area is military & their leaders have bully banned his predmoinant breed leading to him not finding a home very fast.
