Meet Cinnamon (aka Pez), a tender 10-year-old, 11-lb female Chihuahua with a heart that’s been through so much—and still beats with quiet hope. She was one of 10 small dogs rescued by Lil Rascals after both of her elderly humans passed away unexpectedly. Now, Cinnamon is learning to adjust and rediscover comfort, love, and companionship in a foster home.

This shy girl doesn’t need to be in your lap—she just wants to be near you, content to curl up close and quietly keep watch. She’s house-trained, good with other calm dogs (though she’d thrive as an only pet or with just one respectful companion), and enjoys sunbathing in the yard or patrolling the perimeter like a little guardian. Cinnamon is nervous being picked up but is gaining trust daily. She walks nicely on a leash, loves car rides, and is learning to leave the cat alone with gentle reminders. Her foster says she’s starting to play with toys and has the sweetest habit of “tucking you in” at bedtime.
