Jocka is a 1.8 year old female Anatolian Shepherd/Komondor mix that was born at the shelter and her mom Becca was seized by Animal Control along with her dad Gus and sister Asha due to a welfare situation, where the owner was charged with felony animal cruelty. Animal Control noted that when going onto the property to seize the animals, the ammonia smell from urine was so potent and strong, they could barely see through the tears.
Jocka, being the baby of the family, was essentially born and raised at the shelter, having been there since just before Christmas of 2022 along with her family. She has never known a life outside of the shelter, and has been there for over 500 days.
Jocka is large, but timid and shy around strangers. However when Sam, an Administrative Assistant at the shelter, sits in with her, it’s clear that all she needs is time to build a strong and sweet bond.
