UPDATE: Jenny was ADOPTED! Thank you all for sharing her story!

Jenny, nicknamed by Rocky and Kelly, is a less than a year old female Chocolate Lab mix that was found wandering around a good samaritan’s house. Keeping her overnight and bringing her into the shelter early the next morning, this good samaritan couldn’t provide much information on her other than where they found her and noted she smelled very strongly. Afraid and shut down at the shelter, arriving just 20 minutes before Rocky spotted her, Rocky decides to sit down and provide her some much needed comfort.

Without a collar or microchip, it’s uncertain whether or not Jenny has a family looking for her. But what Rocky does know is that she is too young to be so apprehensive towards humans, and needs a family soon that will look past her shy and nervous demeanor. She was nicknamed Jenny as she ‘looks like a box of chocolates’ in time for the Valentine’s Day season, and Kelly was reminded of the quote from the movie ‘Forrest Gump,’ where a main character’s love interest is named Jenny.

Jenny is at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA. She seems to do well with other dogs, and will be available in a few days if an owner does not claim her. Her ID is #713531. ***Please note that Animal Friends of the Valleys is unable to transport animals.
