Jefferson joined us in mid-December, coming in with several medical issues, one of which led to the removal of one eye. That did not stop him in the least from becoming a volunteer favorite due to his sweet, loving and fun nature. Even before his surgery, volunteers enjoyed telling “Jefferson stories” about him helping himself to treats from their treat bag or frolicking with a jolly ball or chasing (and eating!) a butterfly.
Now that he’s had his surgery, he’s as sweet as ever and is feeling much better and getting his energy back. As one volunteer put it, “He doesn’t even seem to know the one eye is missing.” Wouldn’t you like to see what all the fuss is about? Come meet this precious boy!
