Meet Bowie, a gentle 11-month-old Cairn Terrier mix with soulful eyes and a heart full of hope. Weighing in at 27 lbs, Bowie is still a young pup who hasn’t had much of a chance to explore the world—but he’s ready to learn, grow, and love in a home that will give him the care and confidence he craves. Because of his shy nature, Bowie will need to be placed in a home with a confident resident dog who can help show him the ropes and help him blossom into the playful companion he’s meant to be.
Bowie gets along well with other dogs, and while we haven’t seen him with cats or kids yet, the rescue is happy to provide guidance on safe introductions. More than anything, this sweet boy wants a life filled with adventures, security, and affection—whether it’s long walks in the park, cozy cuddle sessions, or making pup pals at the dog park. His shy demeanor won’t last long in the right environment—and when he opens up, you’ll be met with a loyal shadow and a tail that never stops wagging.
