🏡 Adoption Criteria – What Brock Needs Most
To ensure Brock finds the right home and lifelong success, please review the following adoption guidelines set by Great Pyrenees Advocates of Texas:
- Texas Adoptions Only – We are currently only able to adopt within the state of Texas due to volunteer limitations.
- Indoor Companion Animal – Brock must be adopted as a family member and live primarily indoors.
- Time at Home – Preference is given to adopters who are home at least part of the day, rather than away for extended hours.
- Great Pyrenees Experience Preferred – Applicants with breed-specific knowledge or experience are strongly encouraged. This will also be covered in the virtual home visit.
- Canine Companionship – Ideal homes will have at least one medium or large youthful, playful dog to help mentor and bond with Brock.
- Responsible Pet Ownership – All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
- Training & Socialization Plan – Applicants should have a positive training and socialization plan ready to support Brock’s integration.
- Application Process – If Brock is listed as available, please be aware that other applications may already be in process.
- Adoption Fee – $375, which includes vaccinations, neuter surgery, microchip, and heartworm testing.
