Bandido might sound like a tough guy, but wait—this big-hearted boy is all sweetness and snuggles. He came to us with a fractured front leg, but thanks to rest, meds, and TLC, he’s well on his way to recovery. He’s currently on the mend and expected to heal fully in the coming weeks—what he needs now is a calm, loving home where he can finish healing and start thriving.
Even while recovering, Bandido has shown us his gentle, curious side. He’s treat-motivated, easy to leash up, and always happy to check out his surroundings. His playful energy is still on pause, but you can tell he’s eager to get back to being his goofy, loving self once he’s feeling 100%.
He recently met another gentle dog at the shelter and was a bit more interested in flirting than playing—classic young guy move—but showed no signs of conflict and could likely live with a well-matched dog friend once he’s fully healed. He’s still learning dog social skills, so some guidance and patience will go a long way.
Because of his healing leg and size, a home without small children is ideal for now. Bandido would do best with adopters who can offer him structure, gentle activity while he recovers, and plenty of love.
If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient companion who’s ready to start his next chapter with you, come meet Bandido—he’s got a heart as big as his blocky head! ❤️
