UPDATE: Greta has been RESCUED by Rancho Coastal Humane Society! She has been renamed Guadalupe. Although rescued, she is still looking for a forever home to call her own.
This 3-year-old Boxer mixed girl was found roaming the streets by Animal Control with no chip and no collar. There was immediately cause for concern as not only is she homeless, but she’s also emaciated. The shelter staff nicknamed her Greta and immediately started her on three small meals a day to safely help her gain weight back, and treated her for other medical issues. Greta also received a much needed bath after roaming the streets for who knows how long.
Rocky sat in with her, and the meeting became instantly emotional. Rocky discovered Greta had a hold for adoption…but the hold doesn’t come through. Now, Greta continues to wait at the shelter for her forever home where she can finally rest and heal surrounded by a family who will love her for life.
