Peaches is an 18-month-old, 36-pound spayed female Pit Bull mix who was brought in as a stray to Caddo Parish in Louisiana. She was friendly with both dogs and people but was at risk due to shelter overcrowding. Thankfully, she was transferred to Dog Gone Seattle and is now thriving in her foster home while she awaits a forever family in the Pacific Northwest.
In foster care, Peaches has proven to be an absolute sweetheart. She quickly bonded with her foster parents and has become their constant, affectionate shadow. She is both house- and crate-trained, and happily naps on her bed while her foster mom works from home. Peaches enjoys daily walks and belly rubs but doesn’t require high levels of exercise. She walks well on leash, though she may pull when spotting another dog or small critter—something she’s working on. She’s gentle, submissive, and was great meeting children at a recent adoption event. Peaches also gets along well with the resident dog, making her a great candidate for a multi-dog home—or she’d be equally happy as a loving only pet.
