Freya, nicknamed after the goddess of love, nobility and beauty in time for Valentine’s day, is a 7 month old Pit mix that was found on the crossroads right next to the shelter by someone and brought into the shelter. The roads near the shelter can be popular grounds for dumping, which may have happened with her.
Freya is scared and apprehensive towards new people in her kennel, which is exactly what caught Rocky’s eye walking through the shelter halls as this could make adoption harder for her. No owner is known at this time as she did not come into the shelter with a collar nor a microchip. Freya will be available to adopt at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA if no one comes to claim her.
