UPDATE: Franklin was RESCUED by CA Labradors, Retrievers & More! His name was changed to Fritz, and he has recently found his forever home. Yay, Fritz!
Franklin the 5 1/2-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix was named by the shelter after he was found at a gas station by the freeway, stray with no owner in sight nor collar/microchip.
Rocky goes to sit with him after spotting him in the hallway looking defeated and pawing at his face in the corner of the kennel. Rocky discovers that Franklin has an eye infection that’s being treated at the shelter, and hopes Mel is able to take him to get a soothing bath. After a good bath session, Franklin’s spirits are raised, and he now waits for his forever home to come along.
Naturally, not much is known on his background, but so far, it appears he does well with dogs (although a meet and greet is always highly recommended), and is extremely well-behaved for his baths, even with nail clipping!
