Fetch and Rover arrived at Home Fur Good in September 2021. They were all prim and proper then, going by Sir Fetch and Lady Rover. In the past year, all formality has been lost and now that they have endeared themselves, the nicknames are a plenty.
Sometimes there is hesitation on whether dogs are truly “bonded,” Fetch and Rover have proven daily they are besties for life. Fetch is the most patient of gentle giants and he lets his little buddy rule the roost. You can see, when Rover is causing a commotion, he will just roll his eyes and let her blow off some steam. They both ADORE squeaky toys and it is very entertaining to watch them play tug and switch off sharing their stuffies.
Rover is a nine-pound, six-year-old Chihuahua mix and her buddy, Fetch, is a 55-pound, eight-year-old Pit Bull mix. Fetch and Rover are both very friendly and outgoing dogs. They are always happy to make a new human friend, and they love getting pets and attention. Fetch and Rover have even been to dog friendly patios.
They will happily follow you around to see what you are up to, and they will make wonderful companion pets. They both walk well on a leash and love the HFG Walking Club. Rover’s ears flop in the wind as she bobs along keeping pace with Fetch and his long legs. Fetch is the lap dog; he will sit and soak up belly rubs all day long. Rover can be a busy little bee and she loves RunBuddy day at the shelter.
