Fender is a big cuddly teddy bear that we adore here at the rescue but he’s a big boy that needs a home and some space so a shelter is not the best place for him physically or mentally, long term. Fender is just over a year old and was found wandering the desert in Nevada, suspected dumped as we’re finding so many dogs are at the moment.
Being a young dog he was not prepared to forage for food, fight off packs of wild coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions or avoid the deadly dangers of a desert such as rattle snakes, scorpions and of course no water in sight. A good samaritan found this sweet boy dehydrated and malnourished, a fraction of the weight he should be for his frame, and brought him to our rescue where we nursed him back to health.
He absolutely adores humans and is a big cuddle bug that loves to be snuggled and loved on but isn’t so fond of canine companions so he would need a family all to himself. Let’s face it with a big beautiful boy like Fender who needs another dog am I right!
