Diesel for Adoption

Diesel is a 3 1/2 year old male Boxer that had just come into the shelter 3 hours before Rocky came across him at Animal Friends of the Valleys. Diesel, along with his sister Harley, were turned in by their owner due to the owner apparently moving away, and couldn’t keep them anymore.

The previous owner apparently purchased the two from a breeder three years ago, and it’s confirmed the two dogs are siblings. According to them, Diesel loves to play in the yard with balls and go for walks. He has good name recall, and is leash, crate and house trained. Diesel knows to go to the door when he needs to go out. He loves to cuddle and sleeps inside his crate. He has been around all ages, including small children (previously a 2 y/o). With young children, Diesel’s behavior around children is described as nervous, but he can also be friendly/playful/gentle. He has never been around cats however, and can dig in the yard.

Rocky and Kelly decided to pull Diesel alongside his sister after hearing their story, knowing they were frozen in fear at the shelter – fear that could grow over time at the shelter. Thankfully, the two were able to get baths by Mel at the shelter, and were soon after transported to Flip Farms, where they will get much needed time to rehabilitate and decompress away from the chaotic shelter environment before finding homes!
