Hi, my name is Crash! I am a 2-3 year old Black Lab mix and was rescued in Bexar County, TX. After spending about 9 months in the shelter I was rescued by Footbridge Foundation and moved right in with my foster mom. I spent a long time at the shelter because I have a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, it makes me lose my balance sometimes and my fine motor skills can be a little goofy!

The nice lady at the shelter thought I was so cute she worked extra hard to get me out of there even with my special needs! Now that I’m in my foster home and flourishing (gained some muscle so I don’t lose my balance as bad, run faster and my coat is super shiny!) it’s really time to find my forever family.

Since I moved in with my foster family I’ve had so much fun! I have two four-legged foster sisters that I absolutely adore. We go on car rides, hikes, river walks and to get special treats together and I LOVE adventure! When I see the leash come out I do my happy dance ????

My foster mom is a coach so I’ve met a lot of kids, all sizes and ages and I love them. It’s great when they come to visit and when I get to go to the ballpark to hang out with them. They always love to throw the ball for me, it’s awesome! When we are at home I especially love sitting on their laps and getting all of their attention.

I’m thinking I’d love a home with some kids to call my own (they should probably be pretty steady on their feet, in case I lose my balance around them) I’ve also met SO many dogs in my foster home. We got to foster some little puppies and the called me Uncle Crash. Mom said I was so good with them.

We would play, wrestle and take nice long naps together. I LOVE naps!! We also go to dog friendly places and have doggie friends come to visit. I love them all so much. As you can see I pretty much love life and am a very happy boy. While I love it in my foster home I want my mom to be able to save more dogs like me by fostering more, so that means I need to find my family. Don’t let my medical condition scare you. It really has no long terms health effects and is not progressive. Mom says my little happy dances show so much of my personality and that’s bc of the Cerebellar Hypoplasia.

The only concerns really are helping me safely get down the stairs (I go up them perfectly fine) and watching me around humans that are a fall risk. If you’d like to learn more about me I do have my own Instagram account crashtheblacklab_adoptable (follow, like and share please!) and can be adopted through The Footbridge Foundation. My adoption fee has also been sponsored by some awesome donors to the lonely hearts club.
