Chico and his brother, Otis, were abandoned at the shelter by the man who bred them, who decided that due to a genetic condition that results in them having very little fur, they weren’t worth finding homes for.
What they lack in fur, they make up for in personality and velvety soft skin. Chico is the level headed one – he’s typically very calm, and is all in for a good snuggle. His mission is always to get as much of his body pressed up against yours as possible.
Otis is a playful and incredibly lovable. They’ve been jumping around from foster to foster, as their initial long term foster backed out. This hasn’t stopped them from thriving in each home, making friends with big dogs and small dogs alike.
They are very comfortable in their crates, mostly bathroom trained (on a consistent schedule), and learning their little manners. We have no idea what these boys’ breed is – only that they’ll be large dogs and that the little hair they do have is long and wirey.
They won’t need to stay together, but would love homes where they could have a buddy if possible! They’ve been available for adoption for 4 weeks and have yet to have a single foster or adoption inquiry, so we need to find the right owner who will see their quirk for what it is – another reason to love them.
