Canello Doberman Pinscher 3 years, Male, Large Canello is a sweet heart looking for a snuggle buddy. Canello recently went to an adoption event and loved on all of the people he met, even kids. He just stares into your soul and melts your heart.
This dog would make an excellent emotional support dog. He would be content sitting with you, watching movies and cuddling all day long. When he isn’t getting quite enough pets, he will put his paw on you, asking for more. Canello is a bit on the thin side right now as he did not do well in the shelter and life here can be noisy and chaotic. His original family had to relinquish him when they lost their housing and the adjustment has been very hard on him.
He eats well but has some anxiety about barn life and the noise of the other dogs. He was content to be at the adoption event where it was quiet. He really enjoy running around the hay field while we move pipes. He is good off leash and sticks around while we are working on things. He is a bit of a puller on leash, but with some corrections, he does well allowing you to lead.
Canello has done well with female submissive dogs but tends to be a bit on the assertive side when meeting male dogs. He does not do well with assertive male dogs. Canello would probably be happiest being in a family with no other pets as he loves to hog the attention. He would be okay in a home with other submissive female dogs, but no cats.
