Betty (female) and Beau (male) are siblings that were found abandoned in an empty lot in deep South Texas near Mexico. They spent thier days sleeping and nights hunting for bugs and small critters to eat and were virtually inseparable. My parents offered to drive them the 3.5 hours to San Antonio to keep them from being intentionally “unalived”.
Footbridge Foundation agreed to take them into the rescue with me (Liane) as thier foster. They were quickly crate, doggy door and potty trained and given all the necessary shots and preventions to get them healthy. Betty and Beau are true siblings.
Beau is a very chill and relaxed pup. Nothing bothers him unless it involves his siblings stealing his food. He walks well on a leash and LOVES car rides where he can sit up front or on the center console. He is incredibly smart and will come when called, sit for treats and will go to his crate if told to do so (especially if treats are involved). Beau is a snuggler and he enjoys being next to his human and people in general. He recently had his first swimming experience and he was not a fan but may learn to love it with time.
Betty on the other hand is rambunctious and full of energy. She is the instigator of the two pups. She will pick on her brother and foster siblings relentlessly. She is very vocal and will bark, whine or talk back true to her bight blue husky eyes. She is also incredibly sweet, she enjoys being the center of attention and climbing all sorts of obstacles. Her fearless nature would suit someone who is active, loves hikes, or swimming. Betty also had her first swim lesson and excelled! She took the first dive and quickly warmed up to the water.
