Beau is a 2.5-year-old Chihuahua mix who came into Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA as a stray — scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of the world around him. Weighing no more than 15 lbs, this tiny guy has a soft tri-colored coat, gentle brown eyes, and a tender spirit that just needs a patient hand to help him bloom. He’s already neutered, dog-friendly, and making quiet but steady progress every day.

Though the shelter has been tough on him, Beau is trying so hard to be brave. He walks well on leash, gets along beautifully with other small dogs, and is beginning to relax as he learns the routine.
