Bear is a 2-year-old male Viszla mix. This skinny pup was found by a good samaritan running around a Chick-fil-A and brought into the shelter. He has an owner known at this time, however the owner has not come in for him.
He is noticeably emaciated, and staff at the shelter have been working with him to feed him small meals multiple times a day to increase his weight slowly and safely. As Rocky found out by sitting with him, he’s a bit standoffish at first introductions, however can warm up and has a sweet personality hidden away by fear. Thankfully, Bear is treat motivated, which can help with future training and trust building.
