UPDATE: Wow, that was QUICK! Bagel was adopted! 👏

Bagel, named by his previous owners, is a 6 month old Coonhound dog mix who had just came in overnight before Rocky spots him. It turns out Bagel was an owner surrender, as the owners were having a new baby and thought Bagel would be too much maintenance. With all his energy, he would also potentially pose a risk to a newborn, so he was turned over to San Diego Humane Society. Since they had Bagel as a small puppy, he appeared very nervous at first when Rocky spots him, unfamiliar with his surroundings and unsure of who to trust. According to his last family, he is however friendly with kids and with dogs alike. Due to his nervous behavior (and later, energized puppy self), he does pose a slight flight risk. Another interesting fact about him per his old owners is that the ocean apparently frightens him. Overall, Bagel simply has a lot of energy and love to give, but is just confused and scared of what’s going on without stability in his life at this time.
