Astrid is one lucky gal! Astrid was found wondering around a neighborhood and ended up in the local shelter. One of the girls on our team went to rescue her and bring her home. She’s currently in a home with 2 other dogs.
Astrid does prefer to have all the attention to herself, so a home as an only pet for now would be best.
Astrid would love a home where snuggles are endless and she has a place to run around or go on walks. She loves all people, is high energy but loves times when she can just be with you, in your lap and beside you. She’s full of love, a talker for sure, a very lab personality, and is the sweetest cuddle bug ever. She’s eager to learn, listens really well, loves treats, likes walks but is still learning. She plays very well with other dogs.
She loves tennis balls and knows how to play fetch. She knows how to “sit” and “shake” and is very smart. She’s house trained and your typical happy, playful puppy! Astrid just turned 12 months old and weighs 52lbs. We think she won’t get much bigger.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
