Ashley is a 3 and a half year old Chihuahua female who was found along a street by a good samaritan who then brought her into Animal Friends of the Valleys. Without a collar or a microchip, not only is this girl terrified and shaking at the shelter alone, but she also has uncomfortable itchy skin from an unknown skin condition. At this time, she was tested for skin mites, and tested negative, meaning she may be suffering from a food allergy or some other allergen, and is being medicated for a general condition.
Rocky sits in with her as her uncomfortable and shaken state caught his eye, and she eventually warms up to Rocky after persuading her with treats and love. He then takes her to get a soothing medicated bath in hopes of helping both her skin feel better and lift her spirits. Lastly, he nicknames her Ashley, inspired by a kind fan who sent in a thoughtful gift he opened during Love Letters with Dogs, his mail time segment.
