11/27/23 – Asher has been ADOPTED! He is getting neutered first, then will be going home today. Congratulations Asher – looks like our boy will be spending the rest of this holiday season with a loving family!
Asher is a 1-½ year old German Shepherd/Husky male mix that was found by Animal Control roaming around without an owner.
Due to his initial temperament when brought into the shelter, most likely extremely nervous and wary, Asher couldn’t be properly scanned for microchip. This, combined with the lack of a collar/tag, there is no way to reach a potential owner.
Thankfully, after Rocky sits in with him, he breaks out of his shell a bit, and Rocky was able to take the opportunity to scan him (although no microchip was ultimately detected.) Rocky nicknames him Asher due to it meaning along the lines of ‘gratitude’ in time for Thanksgiving (or Barksgiving).
Asher is at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA. His ID is #707422. ***Please note that the shelter is unable to transport animals or complete out of state adoptions. Interested parties must visit the shelter in person to meet with the dog first.***
