This boy, nicknamed Aristaeus by the shelter (or ‘Ari’ for short by Rocky), is a Lab/Pit mixed male thought to be under a year old. It’s possible he is partially deaf or blind, and he was seized by Animal Control due to welfare protection. The call originally came in due to bark complaints, and when code enforcement stopped by, it was discovered that there were way too many dogs in the home and in unsafe conditions. Animal Control impounded nine dogs and deemed the home a “red tag” or unsafe/uninhabitable. The dogs that were seized were not socialized, and it was discovered it was the same home that housed Sister, the blind deaf girl, that Rocky previously sat with. His nickname is based on the Greek god of beekeeping, cheese, and other rustic crafts. Aristaeus is now on the dog walking program to help him open up, and the goal is to both get him better socialized as well as get him adopted.
