MEET ANDY COURAGE!
This very special, exceptionally brave and wonderful little guy was born with a congenital condition called Dermoid Sinus that does not allow his back legs to walk normally. He does have some feeling in his legs, has good leg muscles and can balance with help. He will be getting a shiny, new wheelchair soon.
Andy’s favorite things to do are eat treats, chew toys, have back scratches and play ball. He loves the three dogs he’s being fostered with, and also likes the cat! He loves people and is always up for a good time.
Andy does not need any further treatment for this congenital condition. His front legs are very strong and get him where he wants to go. He wears a belly band because he is urine incontinent. Interestingly, he is on a pretty good stool schedule and prefers to go outside (he whines when he needs to go out). He doesn’t need any special medicines or diet. He’s not a big barker, but loves to bark for the ball.
Andy truly needs a loving, caring, patient and understanding home who will take care of him for life! He’s just an all-around happy guy who loves life and would love a home of his own. He is special needs (he doesn’t know that though!) and requires extra care, but the rewards are endless in helping this guy.
Andy is about ten months old (born January 1, 2022) and weighs about 23 lbs. He is utd on shots. HW & Lyme negative. Will come with his custom fitted wheelchair.
Please contact [email protected] and his rescue will get right back to you, thanks!

Note:  Happily the prognosis for demroid sinus dogs is very good if there are not any neurological damage, which there’s not with Andy.
Demroid sinus dogs are usually rhodesian Ridgebacks but can be found in other breeds as well.
