Abused Dog Was Swung by Her Back Leg—But This Brave Pup Found Freedom in the Clouds
Angel arrived at the animal shelter after facing one of the worst possible nightmares. She was beaten and abused by the human who was supposed to love and take care of her. Her owner had betrayed her trust and treated her cruelly: violently swinging her around by her back leg, causing serious damage. (Watch Video Above)
The poor dog was hurt physically and emotionally and due to this, she was understandably shut down. But her spirit remained unbroken and soon, things turned around for her. With the help of a determined rescue and a loving foster, the resilient girl found her happily-ever-after.
From Cruelty To Love
Before coming to the shelter, Angel was seized during an animal cruelty investigation. When the shelter reached out to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue, the Sacramento-based rescue committed to help the dog in whatever way possible. They found her an amazing foster parent in the form of Christine who showered the dog with much needed love and care.
Then, they got her back leg amputated, which made Angel’s life ten times better. She was no longer in pain and could play freely with her foster fursiblings. For 9 months, Christine took the best care of Angel, allowing her to heal and recover from her surgery as well as her past trauma.
Angel’s Sky-High New Life
After nine months at her foster home, Angel finally found a forever home. Previous NorCal adopters Rylee and Steve were looking for a companion for their dog, Mateo—and the moment Angel met him, it was an instant connection. The family knew she was the one.
Rylee and Steve wasted no time in adopting Angel, which means that the dog went from living in a cruel and loveless environment to flying high in the skies—quite literally. Her new dad, Steve, is a flight instructor, and now Angel gets to accompany him on flying adventures.
