Niko is a sweet 2-year-old who has been in the shelter for over 647 long days. He’s friendly with all humans and dogs and just needs someone to give him a chance.

He has endured an exhausting bout of heartworm treatments, faced complications from them, and is overcoming the daily challenges of having a front paw deformity. Rowan is an 8-week-old Terrier/Australian Shepherd mix with fluffy fur, a playful personality, and the kind of face that makes people instantly stop scrolling.

6. Gabby: Resilient Survivor
She cried nonstop after her puppies were taken away… and by morning, she was scheduled to be euthanized. At 11 PM, rescuers got the urgent message about a dog named Gabby who only had hours left.

Scoots is a 6-year-old French Bulldog (25 lbs) who was found abandoned and unable to use his back legs. He had been surviving on the streets in that condition and was severely malnourished. But Scoots had other plans. He previously had a spinal injury that healed beautifully. While there’s a small chance of future flare-ups, he’s proven he can bounce back like a champ.
