Newly Rescued Dogs Hilarious Reaction to Walking on a Leash is Too Sweet to Resist
Few things in life are as joyful as spending time with a puppy, but it’s even more special when that puppy is rescued from a less-than-ideal situation. Nothing is better than knowing that a pup will grow up being loved and cared for, but one lucky dog mom got a bit more than she bargained for when she rescued a tiny puppy from the street. Kali is a joyful little Chihuahua mix who’s adapting quite well to her new indoor life…except for one thing. She’s never been on a leash before, and her first time trying one didn’t go quite as expected. Perhaps she didn’t even notice the leash–she was just so excited to be outside with Mom! Check out the adorable video.

What a little cutie pie! Kali seems like the happiest puppy as she bunny hops alongside her new owner, and who can blame her? She’s been given life’s biggest upgrade! Just as her owner explained in a video from the previous day, “Last week you were on the streets, and this week you’re getting all the love, pup cups, and good food.” It’s every stray dog’s dream come true, and it’s even more special that Kali’s sister, Nina, joined her rescue family the very next day.
The dog’s rescuer is as positive and encouraging as can be as Kali figures out on-leash walking, which is going to help so much in the long run. Puppies respond much better to positive reinforcement and repeating wanted behaviors, so little Miss Kali is off to a great start. Even if she hops like a frog rather than walking like a dog, she’ll get the hang of it soon enough. You’ve got this, Kali!
