1. Betty Boop: Sweet Hound
Meet Betty Boop! Her foster mom actually calls her Snickerdoodle and she has really taken to that name. This beautiful girl is calm and sweet as can be. She is quite shy and it can take her some time to come out of her shell. Snickerdoodle has gotten along with all her dog and cat foster siblings in the house, and has also done well with all other animals she has met so far.
Although she does not tend to play with the other animals, they do seem to bring her out of her shell some and make her feel comfortable. She is also crate and house-trained. Recently, Snickerdoodle went on a long road trip and did wonderful! She shocked her foster mom by seeming to enjoy the busy environment for the holiday, going up to many different people for affection. Every person who met her fell in love. Please consider giving this angelic girl a home. Despite her shyness, Snickerdoodle has quite a personality and is looking for the right family to bring it out. Learn More
2. Jessie: 3-year-old Husky German Shepherd Mix
Jessie is drop-dead gorgeous and a total sweetie pie. In photos, she looks like a big husky, but she’s actually a petite little 44-pound, pocket-sized bestie. Jessie is one-of-a-kind! Around 3 years old, Jessie is good with big dogs but does not prefer the company of little dogs or cats. Her fur is so soft, when you hug her it’s like hugging a cloud!
She’s looking for an active home with a pack leader. When she likes you, she will give you the paw of approval, sealing the deal: you’re now one of her people. Don’t even get us started on her eyes! Love blue eyes? Brown eyes? She has the best of both worlds! Jessie has been at the shelter or stuck in boarding for half her life. She needs a foster or forever home! Learn More
3. LUCIANO: 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Get ready to meet Luciano, an absolute dynamo bursting with energy and charm! When he first arrived at the shelter, he was shy and reserved, but now he has transformed into an outgoing pup who craves fun and adventure! He’s ready to shine in a home free of chickens and cats, as he can’t resist their allure. Playtime is his favorite, and he absolutely lights up when he meets other dogs!
You’ll love watching him show off his playful side with joyous play bows and exciting zoomies. Just imagine all the adventures you could share! Are you ready to give this incredible pup the forever family life he dreams of? Come meet Luciano at the shelter, and get ready for a whirlwind of joy! 4. Chico: 12-year-old Basset Pit Mix
A basset pit mix you say? That’s right, this big boy with those soft puppy eyes is a real charmer! Chico loves to work for treats, and pets and belly rubs are the way to win his heart. To stimulate his mind he does nose work and shaping activities, which he excels at!
Chico is a silly boy and enjoys golf cart rides and walks, which are always accompanied by his “wubba”, a toy that he carries in his mouth. If you’re looking for a sweet boy with a big heart to match then Chico is the one for you! Learn More
5. Phoebe: 1-year-old Border Collie
Phoebe, a 10-month-old female Border Collie, is currently being fostered in Plymouth, Indiana. This energetic and curious pup has settled in beautifully at her foster home. She thrives in daycare, eagerly playing with her new canine friends and charming the staff with her friendly demeanor. While she shows curiosity about cats when she’s in her kennel, outside of it, she pays them little attention. Phoebe is crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and is an excellent car passenger, making her a joy to have around.
Like many young dogs, Phoebe has some challenges to work through, particularly resource guarding. She tends to guard items from both people and other dogs, but this behavior lessens as she becomes more comfortable and builds trust. Her foster parent has been managing this by creating a structured environment and practicing “trade ya” techniques to redirect her guarding tendencies. With continued guidance and love, Phoebe has the potential to thrive in a patient and understanding forever home. Learn More
6. Shortcake: 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Meet Shortcake! This 2-year-old, 48-pound pittie princess is a bundle of joy, ready to bring love, energy, and a little extra bounce to your life. With her sweet, affectionate nature, she might think she’s a lapdog, but she’s also excited to explore the world around her with plenty of zoomies and curiosity. Whether she’s greeting you with a leg hug or running after a tennis ball (she’s still figuring out the “fetch” part!), Shortcake’s playful spirit will keep you smiling.
In her foster home, we’re learning that she is truly an affectionate girl. She loves to give kisses, get snuggles, and will curl up in your lap for as long as you let her. She seems to already have potty training down, and sleeps well all night long on her dog bed. Learn More

Today, this stunning girl was easy to leash up; she was pretty good on leash during our short stroll; Tokyo LOVED chasing after toys in the yard; she is treat motivated, but may jump up after them (worked on sit); she was not mouthy; Tokyo was a playful, energetic and athletic girl!
