1. Blu: 6-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier

This gorgeous little tank is Blu! He’s a fun, goofy, sweetheart who CRAVES human companionship. Blu is currently in boarding & he wants nothing more than to be in a home with people! Every volunteer who’s met him has instantly fallen in love with his happy, puppy-like wonder at the world around him. Blu will be happy doing whatever his people are doing; exploring, going for walks, playing or just hanging out together.
Blu was kept in a barn before becoming a Diamond, so he was never given the opportunity to learn all the things dogs usually get to learn as a part of a family. Luckily he’s as smart as he is cute, eager to please & highly treat motivated so training should be pretty easy. But he is a strong little guy, so he’ll need someone strong enough to handle him while helping him learn leash manners. Check out his video below to see him sitting, giving paw & gently taking treats like a champ! Learn More
2. Harmony: 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier

During a recent two-night sleepover with a volunteer, Harmony proved she’s the whole package. She graciously tolerated a bath, quietly entertained herself with dog toys, and checked in regularly for snuggles and pets. She also walked nicely on a leash, loved exploring her surroundings, and even curled up at the foot of the bed for a cozy night’s sleep. Learn More

4. Sugar: 5-year-old Dream Pittie

Sugar…she’ll be your Candy Girl! She’s a Pit Bull who arrived as the shelter as a stray just before Christmas with a microchip but no one came for her. She was adopted but the small dog in the home did not like her so she was returned. She is 5 years old and listed as 2-35 lbs but I’d guess she’s at the top of that range for sure. She has a beautiful brindle coat with sweet brown eyes and is not yet spayed. Her previous owner says she is housebroken and good with kids. We understand that she was good with the other dog, even when it was trying to bite her. Please ask AFV for official notes on that as well as how she is with cats. She is also crate trained.
The Dog Walkers call her “The Dream Pup”! She is friendly, calm and well behaved. She walks great on leash, right beside you. She is super smart and knows sit, shake, lay down, and come commands! She just wants to please, to be petted and has plenty of cuddles and kisses for you! She shows no reaction to other dogs while out walking or in her kennel. She is a Family Dog who is without a Family! She has such a gentle vibe, it’s pretty hard to walk away from her so be prepared to take her HOME! Learn More
