“He Held the Dog Down and Beat Him”: Florida Man Caught on Camera Brutally Abusing His Golden Doodle
In a disturbing and heartbreaking case out of Estero, Florida, a man has been arrested after neighbors captured shocking footage of him abusing his dog—on multiple occasions.
The dog, a golden doodle named Benjamin, suffered repeated acts of cruelty at the hands of his owner, Chad Perrow, 38, who was caught on video choking, striking, and tormenting the dog both inside and outside his home.

In one video, Perrow is seen pinning Benjamin to the ground with both hands around his neck. In another, he beats the dog repeatedly with an object while the animal screams in pain. The abuse was so consistent that concerned neighbors installed doorbell cameras just to document the horror they were witnessing day after day.
“We didn’t know what else to do. We couldn’t stand by and hear that poor dog crying anymore,” said one witness.
The neighbors’ video and audio evidence led to Perrow’s arrest for misdemeanor animal cruelty. Benjamin has since been seized by animal control and is undergoing medical evaluation and care.

A Pattern of Violence
Perrow’s neighbors told detectives they had long been worried about Benjamin’s well-being. Witnesses described the dog frequently limping, yelping, and shrinking from human interaction.
One neighbor even recorded the man saying, “Go potty,” before striking Benjamin three more times—each blow followed by a painful yelp. In another clip, Benjamin can be heard screaming from inside the house, while Perrow’s voice shouts threats and commands.
Despite all this, authorities have only charged Perrow with a misdemeanor, a charge that does not come with a ban on future animal ownership.
It’s Not Enough—He Must Be Banned for Life

It’s clear that Perrow poses a serious danger to animals and must be permanently barred from owning, living with, or even being near pets again. Animal cruelty is not just a one-off act—it’s a red flag for deeper violence.
👉 SIGN THE PETITION demanding:
- A lifetime ban on animal ownership
- Mandatory psychological intervention and counseling
- Stronger sentencing and oversight in animal cruelty cases
Benjamin’s cries were finally heard because of brave, watchful neighbors. But how many more animals are suffering behind closed doors?
This Is More Than Cruelty—It’s a Wake-Up Call
Just like the case of Tywinn, the miniature schnauzer who was drowned in an airport bathroom, these incidents aren’t isolated. They reveal a systemic failure to protect animals from people capable of extreme violence.
Benjamin survived. But he’ll carry the trauma for life unless we take action to ensure there are no more Benjamins.
Animal cruelty must be treated with the seriousness it deserves. And people who beat, choke, or kill animals should never get a second chance to do it again.
Make your voice count. Let’s make sure this man—and others like him—never hurt another animal again.
