Zeke’s Background
After spending five long years in a puppy mill, Zeke is learning about the world beyond the barn. While he’s made progress since joining his foster home since spring, he still has some everyday skills to master.
Zeke’s Unique Traits
Zeke adores being outdoors—who can blame him after all that time in a pen? A home with ample access to a yard would be perfect for him. In his foster home, he enjoys the freedom of a doggie door leading to the mudroom, where he snuggles up for the night.
Stairs, however, are still a bit daunting. He’ll venture up for a treat, but going down is another story! Zeke prefers to descend backwards, which adds a little extra charm to his quirky personality.
Mealtime is another adventure for Zeke. He has a sensitive tummy and requires a strict diet to avoid flare-ups, so he prefers dining outside. And be prepared—this boy has a knack for burping! He loves to play with his bowls in the yard, so you might find them in unexpected places.
Building Trust with Zeke
Zeke craves attention but is also a bit hand-shy. His ideal person will approach him gently and patiently, understanding that his sensitivity is a result of his past experiences.
Zeke prefers the company of another dog in the family, he currently loves being with his furry foster brother and can be seen sleeping side by side with him, it is a safe space for him.
